About

Nishant Kumar is one of the founding advocates of Ashvik Legal and leads the firm’s Delhi litigation practice. He is an Advocate-on-Record of the Supreme Court of India, and has 13 years of practice experience. A graduate of Law College Dehradun, he has built his career around sustained appellate practice, with particular depth in conducting, drafting and arguing matters before the Supreme Court of India and other appellate forums.

His Delhi-based practice covers a broad litigation docket, including matters before the NCLT and NCLAT, the DRT and DRAT, and the Delhi High Court, giving him exposure across insolvency, debt recovery, and general civil and commercial litigation at both the tribunal and High Court level, in addition to his Supreme Court practice. This range allows him to manage matters end-to-end, from the tribunal stage through to appeal, rather than handing off cases as they move up the judicial hierarchy.

As a founding advocate, Nishant Kumar’s standing as an Advocate-on-Record is a significant asset to Ashvik Legal, since it allows the firm to directly file and pursue matters before the Supreme Court of India without relying on external counsel for that stage of litigation. Combined with his tribunal and High Court experience in Delhi, his practice gives the firm continuity of representation across the full litigation pipeline in the National Capital Region.
